Learn All About Beauty Products | Quays Clinic of Hypnotherapy

When speaking of beauty products, one may not understand how many products that actually entails. It consists of not only makeup such as foundation, blush and lipstick. It also consists of all the tools used such as makeup brushes, sponges, and even makeup removers. However, this also covers items such as skin care, hair care and bath and body. Let us go over the main products in beauty – makeup and tools.

Makeup And Beauty Products

When it comes to makeup, there are many brands to choose from. The ones you hear the most about on TV are the commercial products, such as CoverGirl, Maybelline, L’Oreal, Almay, etc. These are easily found at drug stores, grocery stores and mass retailers such as Walmart and Target. The next step up is those you can find at department stores such as Macy’s. Those brands include Dior, MAC, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Elizabeth Arden, among others.
Many of these brands can all be found at stores such as Sephora or Ulta. These stores carry only beauty products. They carry other lines besides the ones mentioned. These, to many, are the in-between. The products that are not cheap, but aren’t crazy expensive either. They include brands such as Urban Decay, Smashbox, Josie Maran, Nars, Benefit, and others.

Which Beauty Products Should You Buy?

Now, what people prefer to buy is based on preference, as well as what they can afford. Not everyone can afford MAC or Bobbi Brown products, but not everyone wants to buy CoverGirl either. It is a personal preference. A pro about shopping at a department store or a beauty store such as Ulta or Sephora is that they have beauty experts who can help you pick products that you need/want. They can also show you how to apply a product.

Beauty Product Tools

Speaking of applying makeup, there are tools that are used to apply. There are brushes, sponges, applicators and more. Even household things like cotton swabs are used in applying makeup. When it comes to brushes, well, there is one for every part of your face; foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, blending, eyeliner, blush, all over, contour, eyelash and lips. Not everyone uses every brush. Other tools include an eyelash curler, wedge sponges (best for applying foundation), tweezers, brow comb, and even eyebrow stencils. The eyebrow stencils are for those who have thin eyebrows. They fill them in with a brow pencil to make them appear full.

Which Beauty Products Should You Use?

When it comes to what you should use, or should not use, really depends on your personal preferences, what you can afford, and if you have any skin problems (acne, sensitivity, etc). The professionals in the department stores and makeup stores can help you find the perfect products for your skin type and color. They can also recommend which brushes/tools are needed for the look you are going for. The professionals will also help you try out the look, and show you how to apply the products.
